CEO’S Message
It’s all about the resolutions
The New Year is all about resolutions – what we’re going to do, the things we want to change, and how we intend to improve. At AAA-South Jersey, we too have resolutions for 2012.
As always, we are committed to serving our members and developing new and better ways to assist you in all phases of life – including leisure travel, insurance, emergency roadside assistance, technological advances and financial services. As we ring in 2012, I’m excited to share some fantastic news about some newer services that AAA has developed for our members.
First is our Financial Services Program. In a little more than three and onehalf years, our AAA Deposit Program with Discover Bank has reached over $3 billion – yes, billion – in deposits. The Deposit Program offers members preferred rates on various savings options to help you achieve both your present and future savings needs. With a variety of savings options, including Cds, online savings accounts, money market accounts, and IRAs, the Financial Services Program has proven to be a welcome addition to AAA’s suite of goods and services.
Second is a new offering for our friends who like to travel abroad. Previously, travelers had a limited selection of choosing to carry traveler’s checks or convert their money to foreign currency before leaving on a trip. Recently, AAA introduced the Visa TravelMoney® prepaid card, which can be used at millions of merchants and ATMs worldwide. It’s safer than cash but has all the benefits offered by credit cards, including emergency card and cash replacement, reimbursements to replace lost luggage, protection to replace stolen or damaged purchases, and special travel and emergency assistance. Also, unlike bank or credit cards, these cards are not linked to your bank account. They’re perfect for traveling to multiple locations with varying currencies. The card can be reloaded as often as you wish by simply setting up the ability to transfer funds from your bank account or credit or debit card.
As you can see, we’ve been extremely busy trying to ensure that 2012 will be a great year for our members. Stay tuned for more exciting news in future issues of SJ First.
Happy New Year!
