Cherry Blossom Time In Washington, DC-100th Anniversary

A Once In A Lifetime Celebration

In 1912, an incredible gift of 3,000 cherry blossom trees was bestowed on Washington, DC by Tokyo, Japan. Over the past century, the trees have withstood
The test of time and the elements.

In honor of one of our nation’s most beloved treasures, and a living reminder of international friendship and the beauty of nature, we look forward to celebrating the 100th anniversary of the gift of trees – and setting the stage for the next 100 years. With the spectacular pink cherry blossoms in full bloom, there will be no doubt that Spring has sprung.

AAA South Jersey has two motorcoach tours planned to visit Washington, DC and see this impressive display.

After arriving in Washington, climb onboard the Odyssey to cruise down the Potomac for a narrated tour and enjoy a gourmet lunch. Walk around the Tidal Basin and see the new Martin Luther King memorial along with the Jefferson and the FDR memorial.

We’ll end the tour at Union Station with time for dinner on your own.

Or join us for a walking tour of Jackie Kennedy homes through Georgetown. Have lunch in Georgetown and also visit the new Martin Luther King Memorial and see the Cherry Blossoms at the Tidal Basin.
