/RRNLQJIRUJUHDWGHDOV" Try your e-mail Continued from previous page Thus far, I have purchased deals from restaurants, salons, spas, rock climbing gyms, and did I say spas? Now this is a true confession of a “Deal Shopaholic.” I actually look forward to opening my email each day and seeing what’s in store for me (no pun intended!). I decide if the deal is enticing enough for me to buy or if I’ll pass and just wait for the next day’s deal. If it’s exciting enough, I will pass it on to a friend who might also be interested. And so goes the daily cycle of great shopping! Seriously, what could be better than checking your email in the morning and having an exclusive deal handed to you on a silver platter --ok, too much --handed to you in your inbox? So if you’re a AAA Member and haven’t called roadside assistance or taken advantage of AAA’s many “Show Your Card & Save” discounts, these deals alone will keep you a satisfied Member. I think the savings you’ll get will be more than enough to pay for your annual membership fees...I’m just saying. Emergency Road Service technicians Sean Hill (left) and Dan Zuggi (right) are presented their awards by Ken Chin, AAA South Jersey Vice-President of Member Services. Club Assist, battery provider for AAA’ AAA’s i the h b id f Mobile Battery Service, has sponsored the “Battery Service Skills Challenge (BSSC)” for the past three years. In this challenge, Battery Service Technicians are tasked with demonstrating their degree of technical and customer service proficiency by testing and replacing a battery during a simulated Emergency Road Service (ERS) call. To participate in the BSSC, Technicians must meet eligibility requirements over a two-month qualification period by demonstrating compliance with specific battery testing practices. Eligible Technicians then participate in a local AAA Aces Battery Skills Challenge competition to determine the overall Club winner. This year, all of AAA South Jersey’s Technicians qualified to participate in the Club level event, a very distinguished accomplishment. During the Club competition, Sean Hill achieved the highest score and Dan Zuggi came in second place. Despite being unable to attend the final competition in San Francisco due to scheduling conflicts, Club Assist allowed for Sean’s local score to hold up, and he was awarded a trophy for earning one of the “Top 5 Scores in the Nation.” Continued on page 36 from the Port of Baltimore Gateway to your Getaway!
